YEMEN: Historic Town of Zabid

Brief Description:
The domestic and military architecture of this city and its urban plan make it a site of outstanding archeological and historical value. Besides being the capital of Yemen, from the 13th to the 15th centuries, Zabid was of great importance in the Arab and Muslim world for many centuries because of its Islamic university.
